Time tracking for landscaping crews

Keep mobile crew hours organized from the morning start to the end-of-day cleanup.

Make the workday easier to reconstruct

Weather changes, equipment loading and split crews can turn a simple day into several handoffs. A shared process matters more than an impressive dashboard: every employee should know when to start, how to record a break and where to report a missed punch.

A simple workflow for your team

Employees use their own sign-in to clock in, record breaks and clock out. The manager checks incomplete entries and reviews completed hours. Employees can see their recent records, so a question about a shift can start with the same information.

Be clear about the pilot’s limits

The phone browser clock requires a connection. For a property with poor reception, document the actual work time through your correction process. Do not substitute a reconnect timestamp or assume that time outside a jobsite does not count.

A low-risk way to try it

Try it with a supervisor and two crew members on sample days. Review loading time, breaks, travel questions and cleanup with your payroll process. Test the export before making the time clock part of your routine.

Questions from small teams

How big a team is this for?

ClockFern is focused on companies with up to 30 employees. Start your evaluation with a smaller group and use sample records.

Will I need a new payroll provider?

No. The pilot produces a worked-hours CSV for review in your existing payroll process. It is not a direct vendor integration.

What does the pilot cost?

Early access is free with no payment card. Planned paid tiers are listed separately on the pricing page; no automatic charge is enabled.
